There is an ongoing yellow fever vaccination program going on in Nigeria. It is completely free. All you need do is visit any primary health care center close to you. Its a 10 days program, started on the 28th of Feb 2019. Here are few eligibility tips.
Yellow fever is an acute viral haemorrhagic disease transmitted by infected mosquitoes. The “yellow” in the name refers to the jaundice that affects some patients. Symptoms of yellow fever include fever, headache, jaundice, muscle pain, nausea, vomiting and fatigue.
Who is qualified for the Free Yellow Fever Vaccine
- If you are between the age of 9 months and 44 years old.
- If you are not pregnant.
- If you have not taken the vaccine in the last 2 years.
- If you are not HIV positive.
